ABOUT

What is Day Without Speech?

By giving up speech, you raise awareness and funds for children
with communication and swallowing disabilities.

Challenge yourself and others to give up speaking for one hour up to
24 hours, and instead, communicate through other methods, such as
hand gestures, facial expressions, writing or the use of technology.

With the Day Without Speech, you will be supporting projects
in rural Cambodia. The funds will go towards including children
with communication disabilities better in the classroom.

With your support, children and families will receive the right
support to break free from poverty, and lead full and happy lives.

Why we are doing this?

Communicating with others is at the heart of being human.

This year marks the second year of Day Without Speech, a fundraising campaign by
OIC Cambodia that has been so successful in Cambodia it has made its way to Australia.
Thanks to supporters like you, over $28,000 has been raised so far.
This has changed the lives of many children, families and communities in Cambodia.

However, there is still much more to be done.
But with each donation you give, you are making a significant impact
to the lives of children with communication and swallowing disabilities.

Want to make a difference?
You can support our projects in rural Cambodia through taking part in Day Without Speech.
